Their Story

Describe your life before you had Weight Loss Surgery.

My weight slowed me down and I would run out of breath very quick while walking, bicycling and trying to chase after my grandkids. Also I had a knee injury ???? and my recovery was very very slow because I was overweight and putting all my weight on my knee was painful. Surgeon said it would help to lose weight. Although it hurt I knew it was true. The one that hurt the most was when I went to an amusement park and was told to get off the ride because the seat belt wouldn’t close and It hurt so much I cried because I was so mad a myself from being overweight.

How long were you considering Weight Loss Surgery before you came in?

I was considering surgery for about a year to a year and a half but I waited because I kept thinking I could do it on my own but I would only lose 3 to 4 pounds and would stop dieting. I put surgery off for awhile even though i knew I wanted it because I felt I wasn’t mentally ???? ready

What was it like to work with our team?

Awesome, I appreciate all the support and care I got from your team which made and is making my weight loss journey more pleasant. Everyone is very helpful

Describe your life now, after Weight Loss Surgery.

I have more choices in the clothes I wear. I am able to walk longer without having shortness of breath. I went to the same amusement park where I couldn’t get on the ride and got to get on all the rides I wanted. I feel more confident about myself. The best thing is that there are groups that I joined where bariatric patients share there stories, experiences, journeys and even share recipes which I think is great
