Meet Michael Morell, MD

Dr. Morell is a Board Certified General Surgeon. He obtained his Bachelor of Science with High Honors from the University of California Santa Barbara and obtained his Medical degree from University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency training at University of California Irvine.

He specialized in Bariatric Surgery by completing a fellowship at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. His original award-winning research in bariatric surgery was presented at the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

After fellowship he started a thriving practice in General and Bariatric Surgery in central valley, CA with the Adventist Health system and was responsible for Adventist Health Hanford’s designation as a Bariatric Center of Excellence. He most recently decided to relocate from the Central Valley to San Diego attracted by his family, friends, and returning to his original roots.
