COVID-19 Information: We are taking a number of precautions to protect the health of our patients and the surgical team during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We accept most insurance plans. Patients with Medicare, PPO, and out of network HMO insurance will need a referral from their primary care physician.
Our clinic is part of the Molina Healthcare Network, also known as the San Diego Physicians Medical Group HMO. If you’ve submitted a request for services, our team will very benefit to determine coverage for bariatric surgery, general surgery, or medical weight loss surgery. If you are unsure if your insurance will cover the weight loss surgery cost or wish to bypass insurance, you are more than welcome to schedule a consultation to discuss your options.
For patients who do not have insurance or funds immediately available, we have an established relationship with third party surgery financing via Prosper Healthcare Lending to fund expenses. Once you and your surgeon decide on the type of surgery you need, our staff will be happy to assist you and get your surgery financing in order.
Proper Healthcare Lending's Benefits:
- Immediate decisions for loans under $35,000
- Longer terms for lower monthly payments
- No collateral required
- No prepayment penalties
- Fast and easy loan inquiry process
- 100% confidential
Although healthcare is undoubtedly expensive, hospitals are often willing to offer substantial discounts if all fees are paid in advance. We can, therefore, use our relationships with hospitals to offer patients competitive and affordable prices, at a time when they need to focus more on their health than the financial burdens of health care.
Given all the complexities of putting together a fee for your surgery financing, it is best to wait until you have seen the surgeon before we advocate a price with the hospital on your behalf. We do not mark up prices. We pass 100% of the cost savings to you.
